Unwanted sediments, color, algae (which can produce a taste and smell), and other harmful organisms are all present in raw water. The Water Filtration Plant is made to get rid of this unwanted material and create water that is safe to drink. Screening is the first stage of the wastewater treatment process. During the screening, large objects like diapers, nappies, and even broken bottles, bottle caps, plastics, and rags that might obstruct or damage equipment are removed. Wastewater must be separated from solid, organic matter. In order to achieve this, wastewater is placed in sizable settlement tanks, and the solids are allowed to sink to the bottom. These circular tanks have large scrapers at the bottom that continuously scrape the tank floor, forcing the sludge to the center where it is pumped away for additional treatment. Pumps are used to move the remaining water to a secondary treatment facility. The water is now pumped into substantial rectangular tanks. The air is forced into the water to allow microorganisms to break down the microscopic sludge particles that escaped the sludge scraping procedure. The water is then pumped through a settling tank after that. The bacterial activity settles at the bottom of the tank, increasing the amount of sludge there. Sludge is once more scraped and gathered for treatment. At this point, dangerous substances and pollutants are almost completely absent from the water. Water is let to flow over a wall before being filtered through a bed of sand to get rid of any leftover debris.
